This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information Collection And Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

The personal data we collect, why we collect it and how long we keep it are set out in the table in clause 3.3 of section 3 (how long we keep your information). What your account and profile contain is listed in clause 3.8.

Usage Data

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data").

This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.

Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. 2. Use of Data

Quantum Foundation uses the collected data for various purposes:

3. How Long We Keep Your Information

In short: We keep your information only for as long as we need it, and we delete it when we no longer do. Some records we have to keep for longer because the law requires it. The table below tells you what we hold and how long we hold it. This summary is explanatory only and is not part of the agreement.

3.1 We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose we collected it for requires, or for as long as a law requires us to keep it.

3.2 We do not keep personal data without an end point. Each kind of record in the table in clause 3.3 (what we hold and how long we keep it) ends after a set period, on a stated event, or when you ask us to remove it. Where a record must be kept after you close your account, we keep only the fields the purpose or the law requires, and we remove the rest.

3.3 The table below sets out what we hold, why we hold it, and how long we keep it. It covers information collected through our websites and apps. It describes our websites and apps as they stand on 29 October 2026.

What we hold Why we hold it How long we keep it
Your account and profile information, listed in clause 3.8 (what your account and profile contain) To operate your account, to let you sign in, and to keep your membership record accurate While you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, see section 4 (deleting your account and your data)
Your blood group, if you are a verified member and you choose to give it To let the voluntary blood donation programme find donors, and to show it in your own profile The same as the rest of your profile. The published donor list is separate and is explained in clause 3.7 (blood donation information)
Your national identity number, if you are a verified member and you choose to give it To make sure that a blood donation certificate we issue belongs to one verified person, so that a certificate cannot be obtained under a changed or false name The same as the rest of your profile
Your profile photograph, if you upload one To show it in your own profile The same as the rest of your profile
The financial record of a donation — the amount, the fund, the date and the payment reference We are required to keep records of money received, and to be able to answer questions about a past donation For the period that Bangladeshi accounting, audit and record-keeping law requires financial records of this kind to be kept, counted from the 30 June that follows the donation. Our financial year ends on 30 June
The donor record of a donation — your name, your mobile number and email address, and the record of what you have given To recognise your support, to keep in touch with you about the programme you have given to, and to invite you to continue or increase your support. Our branches do this as well as our head office If you are a Quantum member, for as long as you remain a member, until you ask us to remove it or you end your membership and ask us to delete your information. If you are not a Quantum member, until you ask us to remove it, or until ten years have passed without a donation or any contact with us, when we remove it without you having to ask. See clause 4.4.7 (when we remove your donor record)
Course, programme and event registrations made online To manage your place, your attendance and any certificate While you have an account. Your longer programme and eligibility history is held in our membership record, which is explained in clause 4.3.5 (your programme history)
Verses you mark as favourites, and notes you write against a verse, in our Al Quran Bangla Mormobani app To keep them for you, so that the app can show them to you again. See clause 3.13 (favourite verses and notes in our Al Quran app) While you have an account. They are deleted when your account is deleted
Content you post publicly, such as a wish or a forum post To publish it as you asked us to Until you ask us to remove it. See section 4 (deleting your account and your data)
Messages you send us, and our replies To answer you, and to keep a record in case you complain later 2 years from the date the matter is closed. After that we remove your name and contact details and keep only the substance, as feedback on our services
A record that a notification was sent to a device — details of the device and the app, the notification topics the device is subscribed to, and your username where the record holds one As evidence that a particular notification was delivered to a particular device, and to investigate a report that a notification did not arrive Three years from the date the notification was sent, then deleted. Deleting your account does not remove it sooner. See clause 4.4.8 (records that a notification reached your device)
The identifier that our notification service gives the app on your device To send notifications to that device, and to keep the record of delivery in the row above complete Until three years after the last notification we sent to that device, then deleted together with the last record that it was sent. See clause 4.4.8 (records that a notification reached your device)
Server logs, including IP address To keep the service secure, to find and fix faults, and to meet legal obligations 12 months, then deleted automatically. Totals and summaries that cannot identify you are kept without a time limit
Crash reports, including an identifier for the installation of the app on your device To find and fix problems in our apps 90 days in the crash reporting service, then deleted automatically. Summaries that record only the fault, the app version and how many devices were affected contain no information about you and are kept without a time limit
Usage statistics To understand how our services are used, and to improve them 14 months for records that relate to a single device or visitor, then deleted automatically. Totals and summaries that cannot identify you are kept without a time limit
Backups To restore the service if something goes wrong 12 months, on a rolling basis. Backups are used only to restore the service
Archive copies of our systems To keep a working copy of our records for administration Each archive copy is replaced every three months and the copy it replaces is destroyed. Any archive kept for longer than that contains financial records only

3.4 Some records are kept after your account is deleted only because a law or an accounting obligation requires it. The financial record of a donation is one of them: we do not use it for any other purpose, we do not use it to contact you, and it does not appear in any service you use. The donor record is not one of them. We keep it in order to stay in touch with you about your giving, and clause 4.4.6 (asking us to stop contacting you) explains how to ask us to stop.

3.5 We may keep a particular record for longer than the table says if we are lawfully required to preserve it — for example, because of a court order or an ongoing investigation. We keep only what is required, and only for as long as it is required.

3.6 Public content is different from account data. Deleting your account does not automatically remove something you have posted publicly. Section Y (deleting your account and your data) explains how to ask for that separately.

3.7 Blood donation information. If you are a verified member, blood group is one of the optional fields in your profile, described in clause 3.8 (what your account and profile contain); if you fill it in, we collect it through our apps and websites and hold it as part of your profile. Separately from this, our voluntary blood donation programme publishes a list on its website recognising people who have donated blood. The list can show a donor's name, photograph and number of donations, and any award the Foundation has given them, and nothing else; this information is recorded in person at donation events, and you do not need an account to appear on the list. If you appear on the list and you want to be removed, use clause 4.7 (asking to be removed from the donor list).

3.8 What your account and profile contain. To open an account you must choose a username and give us either an email address or a mobile number. If you are a verified member we also hold your member identification number, and we hold your date of birth if you give it. Everything else is optional and you may leave it blank: full name, full name in Bangla, father's name, mother's name, spouse's name, educational qualification, gender, date of marriage, occupation and its details, institute and location, organisation, current location, current address, permanent address, the Quantum branch you are associated with, and a profile photograph. If you are a verified member you may also give your blood group and your national identity number, and update them so that our membership record stays accurate; these two fields are not available to account holders who are not verified members.

3.9 Your profile is not public. Other users of our websites and apps cannot see it.

3.10 Your profile is shared with the Foundation's own membership record. When you fill in or change your profile, that change is also written into the membership record the Foundation keeps for its members, and a change made to that record can appear in your profile. This means the app is one of the places the Foundation collects information for its membership record. Clause 4.3.3 (our membership record) explains what happens to that record when you delete your account.

3.11 Donating through our apps. When you choose to donate in one of our apps, the app opens our donation website in your web browser, and you make the donation there. The app does not ask for your name or contact details before it does this. It passes the website the fund you chose and, where the app has worked out an amount or the campaign sets one, that amount; the amount travels inside a temporary code and is not part of the web address. If you use our Zakat calculator, the figures you enter about what you own are used on your device to work out the amount, and are not sent to us or stored.

3.12 Donating on behalf of someone else. If you donate on behalf of another person and give us their name or other details about them, the confirmation email we send you repeats only what you entered. We do not look up or add anything else we hold about that person.

3.13 Favourite verses and notes in our Al Quran app. If you use our Al Quran Bangla Mormobani app with your account, the verses you mark as favourites and any notes you write against a verse are stored on our server with your account. We keep them while you have an account and delete them when your account is deleted. Please do not write health details or other sensitive information in a note.

3.14 Who receives your information. The organisations outside the Foundation that receive personal data through our websites and apps are listed below, with what each one receives. We do not show advertising on our websites or in our apps, and no advertising company receives your information.

(a) Google, through its Firebase services and Google Analytics. Google receives usage statistics, crash reports, the identifiers described in the table in clause 3.3 (what we hold and how long we keep it), and what it needs to deliver notifications to your device. In our apps, Firebase handles this information on our instructions, and we have turned off its setting that would let Google use it for its own purposes.

(b) SSLCOMMERZ, our payment service provider. When you pay through it, it receives your name, mobile number, email address and the amount, so that it can process the payment. It acts on our instructions.

(c) bKash, when you pay with bKash. It receives your name, mobile number, email address and the amount. bKash also has its own relationship with you as its customer, and uses this information under its own terms as well as to process your payment.

4. Deleting Your Account and Your Data

In short: You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or from our website, without installing anything or writing to us. Your account stops working as soon as you ask; signing in again within 30 days cancels the request, and after that it cannot be undone. Some records have to be kept, and we say below which ones and for how long. This summary is explanatory only and is not part of the agreement.

4.1 — How to delete your account

4.1.1 In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the steps.

4.1.2 On the web: go to https://profile.quantummethod.org.bd/delete-profile. You do not need to install any app to use this page.

4.1.3 You will be asked to confirm your request. We will send a confirmation to your registered email address or mobile number.

4.1.4 One account signs you in to all our websites and apps. Deleting it removes your access to all of them.

4.1.5 As soon as we receive your request we stop your account being used for our services. If you sign in during the 30 days described in clause 4.3.6 (changing your mind), your request is cancelled.

4.2 — Deleting some information but keeping your account

4.2.1 You may ask us to delete particular information without closing your account. For example, you may ask us to remove a wish you have posted, or your photograph, and keep the account itself.

4.2.2 Use the same page at https://profile.quantummethod.org.bd/delete-profile and choose the option to delete specific information, or write to us at grievance@quantummethod.org.bd.

4.3 — What happens when you delete your account

4.3.1 Your account stops working for our services as soon as we receive your request, as clause 4.1.5 (your access stops at once) explains, and signing in during the next 30 days cancels the request. We finish removing your information within 90 days of your request. We remove: (a) your account and profile information, listed in clause 3.8 (what your account and profile contain), including your photograph, your blood group and your national identity number if you gave them; (b) your account preferences and settings; (c) the connection between your account and our membership record; (d) your online registrations for courses, programmes and events, which are reduced to an anonymous entry that cannot identify you; (e) the verses you have marked as favourites and the notes you have written in our Al Quran Bangla Mormobani app. Clause 4.4 (what we keep, and why) explains what we keep.

4.3.2 We remove your information from our live systems first. Backup copies are not edited; they are overwritten as each backup is replaced in the ordinary cycle, which takes up to 12 months. We use backups only to restore the service. If we ever have to restore a system from a backup, we bring it up to date before it goes back into use, which reapplies every deletion and every pending deletion request made after that backup was taken.

4.3.3 Our membership record. The Foundation keeps a membership record for its members in its own internal administrative system. Your profile and that record are connected: as clause 3.10 (your profile is shared with our membership record) explains, what you enter in your profile is written into it. Deleting your account removes your ability to sign in and removes the connection between your account and that record, but it does not delete the record itself. To ask what is held in the membership record, or to ask us to change or remove it, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd.

4.3.4 Because the membership record is not deleted, if you later open a new account and we verify you as the same member, the information in that record will fill in your new profile again. If you do not want that to happen, ask us to deal with the membership record as well, using the address in clause 4.3.3 (our membership record).

4.3.5 Your programme history. Your record of which courses and programmes you have completed, and what you are therefore eligible to join, is held in the membership record and not in your account. Deleting your account does not erase that history.

4.3.6 Changing your mind. For 30 days after you ask us to delete your account, we do not begin deleting your information. If you sign in to your account during those 30 days, your request is cancelled and your account works again; you do not need to take any other step. If you want the deletion to go ahead, do not sign in until the 30 days have passed. In our apps, a saved password does not sign you in by itself: you still have to press the sign-in button.

4.3.7 If you have not signed in by the end of those 30 days, we begin deleting and we will not ask you again. From that point the request cannot be cancelled and your information cannot be brought back.

4.3.8 Recurring donations. Asking us to delete your account does not cancel a recurring donation. If you have one, cancel it before you ask us to delete your account. You can also cancel it at any time in the bKash app, including after your account has been deleted. Until it is cancelled, payments continue, and the financial record of each payment is kept as clause 4.4.1 (donation records) explains.

4.4 — What we keep, and why

4.4.1 Donation records. A donation creates two records and we treat them differently.

(a) The financial record — the amount, the fund, the date and the payment reference — is kept for the period set out in the financial record row of the table in clause 3.3 (what we hold and how long we keep it). We keep it because we are required to keep a record of money received. We do not use it to contact you.

(b) The donor record — your name, your mobile number and email address, and the record of what you have given — is kept so that we can recognise your support and stay in touch with you about it. We and our branches use it to contact you about the programme you have given to and to invite you to continue or increase your support. Clause 4.4.6 (asking us to stop contacting you) explains how to ask us to stop, and clause 4.4.7 (when we remove your donor record) explains when the record itself is removed. Asking us to stop contacting you does not remove the financial record, which we have to keep.

4.4.2 Content you posted publicly. A wish, forum post or comment you have already published stays visible unless you ask us to remove it. Ask us using clause 4.2 (deleting some information but keeping your account) and we will remove it within 30 days.

4.4.3 Records of a complaint or a legal matter. If there is an open complaint, dispute or legal requirement involving your account, we keep what we need to deal with it, and no more.

4.4.4 Server logs. Logs are kept for 12 months as set out in section 3 (how long we keep your information) and are then deleted automatically. They are not linked to your account and are not used to build a profile of you.

4.4.5 Our membership record. The membership record described in clause 4.3.3 (our membership record) is kept after your account is deleted. It is a record of your membership of the Foundation, not a record of your use of our websites and apps.

4.4.6 Asking us to stop contacting you. If you do not want us to contact you about your giving, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd. We stop at our head office as soon as we have dealt with your request. Our branches work from our central record: a branch prints the donor details it needs for a task and destroys the print when the task ends, so contact from a branch stops within three months of your request at the latest. You do not need an account to make this request, and you do not have to give a reason.

4.4.7 When we remove your donor record. We remove your donor record when you ask us to remove it. If you are a Quantum member, your membership is for life, so we keep your donor record for as long as you remain a member, until you ask us to remove it or you end your membership and ask us to delete your information. If you are not a Quantum member, we also remove it when ten years have passed without a donation or any contact with us, and you do not need to do anything.

4.4.8 Records that a notification reached your device. When we send a notification to a device, we keep a record that it was sent, as evidence that it reached that device and so that we can look into it if you tell us a notification did not arrive. The record contains details of the device and the app, the notification topics the device is subscribed to, and your username where the record holds one. We delete it within three years of the date the notification was sent, and deleting your account does not remove it sooner. The identifier that our notification service gives the app on your device is kept until three years after the last notification we sent to that device, and is then deleted with the last record that it was sent.

4.5 — If you donated without an account

4.5.1 You can donate without creating an account. If you did, there is no account to delete. Your donation records are kept as set out in clause 4.4.1 (donation records).

4.5.2 To ask what we hold about you, or to correct it, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd with the date and reference of your donation.

4.5.3 If we or one of our branches contacts you about your giving and you do not want to be contacted again, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd. You do not need an account to make this request, and you do not have to give a reason. Clause 4.4.6 (asking us to stop contacting you) explains what happens then, and clause 4.4.7 (when we remove your donor record) explains when the record itself is removed.

4.5.4 Without an account, we cannot confirm from a phone number alone that a donation record is yours, because a phone number is often shared within a household. We therefore do not delete donation records on the strength of a phone number alone. Your records are removed at the end of the periods set out in clause 4.4.1 (donation records). This does not affect a request under clause 4.5.3 to stop contacting you.

4.6 — If you need help

4.6.1 If you cannot use the deletion page, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd. We will acknowledge your request and stop your account being used for our services as soon as we have confirmed that the request is yours. The 30 days described in clause 4.3.6 (changing your mind) run from that point, and we finish removing your information within 90 days of your request.

4.6.2 You do not have to give a reason for asking us to delete your information.

4.7 — Asking to be removed from the donor list

4.7.1 If your name or photograph appears on the blood donor list described in clause 3.7 (blood donation information) and you want it taken down, write to grievance@quantummethod.org.bd with your name and the donation date if you know it.

4.7.2 You do not need an account to make this request, and you do not have to give a reason. We will remove what you ask us to remove within two working days and confirm to you when it has been done.

5. Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside Bangladesh and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Bangladesh and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Quantum Foundation will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

6. Disclosure Of Data
